In a dramatic escalation of long-simmering tensions, India has confirmed it conducted missile strikes in Pakistani territory and Pakistan-administered Kashmir early this morning, claiming to have targeted what it called “terrorist infrastructure.” Dubbed Operation Sindoor, the strikes hit nine alleged terrorist sites, according to a statement released by the Indian government.
