HOME BASE: Sophie Turner Moving Back to the UK With Daughters After Custody Battle With Joe Jonas

Actress Sophie Turner is reportedly preparing to return permanently to the United Kingdom with her two young daughters following a lengthy and public custody battle with ex-husband Joe Jonas.

Turner, 29, and Jonas, 35, who were married for four years before their separation in 2023, had publicly clashed over custody arrangements for their daughters, Willa, aged four, and Delphine, aged two.

Custody dispute leads to private resolution

Initially, both stars had intended to amicably share custody of their children. However, tensions escalated when Turner accused Jonas of withholding the children’s passports and keeping them in the United States against her wishes.

This dispute was eventually settled privately in January 2024 as part of their divorce proceedings, which also involved selling their marital home in Miami, Florida.

The agreement now reportedly allows Turner to establish the UK as the primary residence for their daughters. According to reports from the Daily Mail, Turner has already begun looking at prospective schools for her children.

Sophie Turner’s new life post-divorce

Following her split from Jonas, Turner has embarked on a new relationship with Peregrine Pearson, 30, son and heir of Viscount Cowdray. Turner and Pearson began dating in October 2023 and made their first public appearance together at Stanley Zhu’s Year of the Dragon event aboard the Dixie Queen in London in February 2024.

Turner’s career has continued to thrive post-divorce. Known for her breakout role in “Game of Thrones,” she has since starred in the ITV drama “Joan” and the critically acclaimed miniseries “The Staircase,” alongside actor Colin Firth. Rumours also indicate Turner is being considered for the iconic role of Lara Croft in an upcoming movie adaptation.

Joe Jonas focuses on music amid personal changes

Meanwhile, Jonas, who has yet to enter into a new public relationship since the split, remains deeply engaged with his career. Alongside brothers Kevin and Nick, he recently hosted a convention celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Jonas Brothers’ debut album in their hometown in New Jersey.

The Jonas Brothers are gearing up for a world tour later this year and are set to release a new album and a new Disney holiday film titled “A Very Jonas Christmas.” Joe Jonas himself will also release a solo album titled “Music for People Who Believe In Love” in May.

Speaking to Hollywood Reporter about the inspiration behind his new music, Jonas acknowledged that his recent experiences, including the divorce, influenced his work. He clarified that he is “not trying to come for anyone,” emphasizing gratitude and positivity despite past challenges.

“I’m not trying to put stuff on blast,” Jonas explained. “I have a beautiful life that I’m grateful for. I’ve got two beautiful kids. I’m a happy person, and the music needed to resemble that—but also the journey to get here.”
